The current chimney sweep cost in Chicago is $325 per wood-burning fireplace. This flat rate includes soot removal, creosote cleaning, and a full safety inspection. If you have a gas log setup, a Gas Refresh is also $325, which covers log cleaning, soot removal, and replacing silica sand, lava rock, or ember material. When no cleaning is needed, an inspection-only visit is $195.
