A full chimney sweep with a visual safety inspection costs $300 to $350 (rates as of September 2026) per wood-burning fireplace.

For gas-burning fireplaces, we offer a service called a Gas Kit Refresh, which is also $300 to $350 and includes a visual safety inspection.

During the inspection, our team will determine whether your chimney needs to be swept or if any additional repairs are recommended. If a sweep is not needed, you will only be charged the reduced fee for the Visual Safety Inspection, which is $200 to $300.

Each sweep, including the inspection, typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

Because scope and access vary too much to price honestly in advance. Tuckpointing, rebuilds, custom caps and chimney removal are quoted in writing after an inspection or a measurement visit. Pricing an unknown condition is guessing.
