The team of 3 finished replacing our chimney crown in a day and a half. The office was easy to work with & responsive to phone calls.
We are mostly happy with the work they did. There were a few things that could have been done in a tidier manner (some concrete smears were left behind on our red brick & the metal flashing underneath the concrete is slightly uneven on 2 of the corners). This is our first chimney crown replacement, so I have no idea if these are normal things or not.
Update: I originally rated them 4/5 stars but changed the rating to 5/5. They were very quick to follow up about the bits we weren’t totally happy with. Brad came today to visually inspect the work & called me to explain what I was seeing. I’m satisfied with the service we received & would definitely use them again.
Update: Work was done by Rufino and his crew. They were quick, detailed, and service-focused. Very clean during and after the job (exterior work is messy). They did great.
Village of Golf is located in Cook County, Illinois and has a population of under 500. Even though it’s a tiny town, and the community there is primarily residential, it has its own police department, post office and Metra train stop (Metra’s Milwaukee District North Line). It is located approximately 17 miles northwest of Chicago downtown, and 12 miles southwest of O’hare International Airport. The land on which the Village of Golf sits, was originally granted to the Chippewa, Ottawa and Potawatomi people in 1825 during the First Treaty of Prarie du Chien.
While the Village of Golf is small, the Golf Civic Association makes sure its community members are taken care of. It plans five fun social activities for the community members each year. Those events include a winter party, 4rth of July fireworks and festivities, a fall steak fry, a Halloween haunted house, and the Polar Express.

Although the Village of Golf is an affluent community, it is one of the few villages in the country that does not have it’s own postal delivery service. Residents have to go to the local post office each day to pick up their mail, and the post office is closed Saturdays and Sundays. There is no traditional mail service that brings mail to a mailbox in each house.
Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center is located close to the Village of Golf, in Skokie, Illinois. It’s mission statement is to “Remember the Past” and to “Transform the Future”. It also promises to preserve the legacy of the Holocaust by honoring the memories of those who were lost as well as by teaching global lessons that fight hatred, prejudice and indifference. It is a unique and historical experience that everyone should experience at least once.
